Characteristics

Size: Appearance can vary based on the caste member of the colony. Workers are approximately 1/4 inch long and wingless; soldiers have mandibles and an elongated head.

Color: Workers are light in color; reproductives are generally dark in color with milky white wings.

What do they eat? Termites eat any cellulose material such as wood, wall paper, furniture, the paper on sheet rock, fire wood, mulch.

Habitat

Where do they live? Subterranean termites live below ground and build mud tubes above ground to their food source.
